What WE DO
Shoes for Africa is the international humanitarian and empowerment arm of Moving Beyond The Four Walls. Our mission is to express the love of Jesus Christ, preach the Good News of Jesus Christ and to honor the less fortunate. We provide new shoes and socks to poor, orphans and widows. The goal is to protect the feet against diseases and to prevent 
the spread of disease that can cause illness and other physical or psychological damages. We believe we can accomplish this task through service, deeds, kindness and collaborative effort.
Why Shoes?
Thousands of men, women, and children in Africa suffer from a crippling foot parasites. Both hookworms and jiggers keep kids from going to school, running, and playing. They also prevent people from walking and working. People with hookworms and jiggers often become outcasts. These small parasites negatively impact every aspect of a person’s life. Hookworm or jigger start out so small it is nearly invisible; it burrows into a person’s skin and latches onto blood vessels. For jiggers, within days the it swells to over 1,000 times its size while continuously laying eggs. Those eggs hatch, mature, and lead to an infestation. The results of both hookworms and jigger infestations are pain, itching, and infection. Though hookworms and jiggers are a complex problem, the solutions are simple and can change a person’s life forever. Through education, empowerment, sharing the Gospel, and shoes and socks distribution, we aid people in Africa to become hookworm and jigger free, restoring health and hope for a future.
How It Works
We conduct an annual, short term “Shoes For Africa” Vision Trip where we collaborate with Christian Leaders, orphanages, ministries or churches on the ground, by being a distribution channel for people, organizations, ministries, churches and businesses to donate new shoes and socks to the people in Africa who desperately need them- through financial giving and volunteer support.

Donate Shoes:
